We believe God authored the Bible in complete union with human writers, so that using their own personalities and styles God enabled them to record exactly what He wanted written in the sixty-six books of the Bible ⁽¹⁾. We believe the Bible is infallible, inerrant in the original autographs and utterly authoritative in all it says and affirms, so that to obey or disobey the Bible is to obey or disobey God ⁽²⁾. We believe the Bible sufficiently contains everything necessary for salvation and obedience to God, and is timelessly relevant to mankind ⁽³⁾.

We believe in one living and true God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are equal in all divine perfections and execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption ⁽¹⁾. We believe in the full deity of God the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and that He became man without ceasing to be God ⁽¹⁾. We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, revealed God and saves sinners through His life, death on the cross and resurrection ⁽²⁾. We believe Jesus physically rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He is now our High Priest, Advocate and King at the Father’s right hand, and that He will personally and visibly return to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords ⁽³⁾.

We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who comes forth from the Father and the Son and convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment ⁽¹⁾. The Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, gifts, guides, seals and empowers believers for living and serving God ⁽²⁾. We believe all Christians have the Holy Spirit within them ⁽³⁾.

We believe mankind was created in the image of God and lived in a state of innocence ⁽¹⁾. But through the disobedience of our first ancestor, Adam, all creation is fallen and all people are alienated from God, corrupted in our nature (e.g., physically, mentally, volitionally, emotionally, spiritually), sinful, subject to physical and eternal death, and abide under God’s just and holy wrath ⁽²⁾. We believe every person shares in this bleak state and our only hope is the undeserved grace of God, who alone can rescue and restore us to Himself by a Savior ⁽³⁾.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Savior ⁽¹⁾ and that in the fullness of time God sent His Son to die in our place, on a cross, as the perfect sacrifice for sinners ⁽²⁾. We believe Jesus took for us God’s just and holy wrath and imparts to us His perfect righteousness through faith in Him ⁽³⁾. We believe Christ’s obedient life, shed blood and resurrection from the dead are the grounds for making people right with God ⁽⁴⁾ and that every person who repents of their sin and trusts Jesus as Savior and Lord is born of the Holy Spirit, is delivered from wrath, and gains forgiveness and eternal life in Jesus Christ ⁽⁵⁾.

We believe that upon receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord an individual becomes part of the universal church: a living, spiritual body throughout the ages of which Christ is the head ⁽¹⁾. The local church is God’s people organized under the oversight of elders ⁽²⁾ and banded together in light of God’s commands to regularly gather for corporate worship, prayer, Bible reading and teaching, ordinances, accountability and service to one another ⁽³⁾. The church is to work in love and unity, intent on making disciples and glorifying God in the world ⁽⁴⁾.

We believe baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordained by the Lord Jesus himself. Baptism is connected with entrance into the new covenant community and symbolically portrays a believer’s union with Christ in His death and resurrection⁽¹⁾. The Lord’s Supper is an ongoing covenant meal commemorating Christ’s atoning death for us until He returns⁽²⁾.

We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ when He will execute His role as final judge ⁽¹⁾. We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust—the unjust to judgment and eternal punishment, as our Lord Himself taught ⁽²⁾, and the just to eternal blessedness in the presence of God, in the new heavens and new earth, the home of the righteous, forever and ever ⁽³⁾.
